Zeke Crozier joined the US Army in 2004 and served for nine years. In 2011 Zekes unit was activated and deployed when the taliban shot their helicopter down killing all 38 people, members of Zeke’s unit. Two weeks before Zekes helicopter went down. His head was thrusted violently back-and-forth knocking him unconscious and causing traumatic brain injuries. Doctors warned Zekes loved ones that he may not survive and went into coma for two weeks. If he where to survive he would likely suffer from severe disabilities for the rest of his life. Then a miracle happened, Zeke progressed from a wheelchair and re-learned to walk and talk. In 2013 Ezekiel Michijah Crozier was awarded the Purple Heart and was medically retired from the army. Zeke struggled to find a purpose but in 2014 he founded Handi Cappin llc. Through his company he creates unique pieces of art using bottle caps. He does this as a form of art therapy and raises money to help support local charities.
